Susan Boyko has been a registered nurse since 1978. In the years since then, she has worked in cardiology, intensive care, emergency, administration, legal nurse consulting and flight nursing. Since 2000, she has worked at Harbor Arthritis Center as a rheumatology nurse, and continues to work in Emergency at Charlevoix Area Hospital. In all of these roles, Sue has worked to improve patient's understanding of their health. As a certified health coach, she is now formalizing that area of expertise by working one-on-one with individuals who want to improve their wellness through life-style changes. Her personal experience with dieting, smoking cessation and exercise allows her to understand her clients wherever they are on their journey to better health.
Sue enjoys spending time with her husband, Tim, and their two kids, Jon and Kaitlyn. Jon is a medical corpsman in the U.S. Navy and is stationed in Japan. Kaitlyn is a premed major at Grand Valley State University. Sue also likes reading (mostly nutrition books these days), swimming, walking, cooking and sailing. She calls herself a "recovering dieter" because she is slowly losing weight through positive dietary changes and exercise and does not plan to ever go on a diet again!
